EPL: Liverpool go top as Bournemouth shock Man City

Liverpool have reclaimed the top position in the Premier League after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Brighton on Saturday.

The home side fell behind in the first half due to a low finish from Ferdi Kadioglu.

 However, late goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah turned the match around in Liverpool’s favor at Anfield.

Arne Slot’s men now have 25 points from 10 fixtures, two more than Manchester City.

City saw their unbeaten start to the season end at the Vitality Stadium, where they lost 2-1.

Josko Gvardiol’s late header was mere consolation for the champions, who had gone two goals down, thanks to strikes from Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson

Earlier in the day, Arsenal lost 1-0 at Newcastle United and are in fourth place with 18 points.
