Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, will not be allowed to sign two players to strengthen key positions in his team after being backed over the signing of Antony from Ajax.
The Red Devils have agreed a €100million (£84million) deal to bring the 22-year-old to Old Trafford.
Antony will be Ten Hag’s fifth summer signing after Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, and Casemiro.
Newcastle United goalkeeper, Martin Dubravka, is expected to join on an initial loan deal with an option to buy.
However, Ten Hag also wanted to strengthen his squad in two other key positions – right back and central midfield.
But the club will not sanction more spending this summer due to the excessive fee spent to land Antony as Ajax held out for a record sale.
