Manchester United have set a deadline to complete the deal to sign Chelsea’s Mason Mount this summer.
Man United saw an opening bid of £40million for Mount rejected last week, with an improved offer of £45million plus £5m in add-ons also turned down on Wednesday.
Mount is in the final year of his contract with Chelsea and Man United manager Erik ten Hag has made him a top transfer target for this summer.
It is thought that Man United have reached a breakthrough in talks with Chelsea and are close to agreeing a £60million move for the former Derby County star.
But the Red Devils want the deal to be completed quickly and have set a deadline for the end of next week to complete the 24-year-old’s transfer to Old Trafford, as reported by Metro UK.
Man United are set to launch a third bid for the England midfielder but have warned Chelsea that they ‘won’t keep negotiating for too long’ despite agreeing personal terms with the player.
