EPL: Mateo Kovacic in shock move to Chelsea’s rival for £30m

Date:

Chelsea midfielder, Mateo Kovacic, is set for a shock move to Manchester United this summer.

Man United are said to be willing to meet Chelsea’s asking price of £30 million for Kovacic, who is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to a report from Football Insider, the Red Devils have a strong interest in bringing the former Real Madrid star to Old Trafford and could part with £30 million to secure the deal for the 29-year-old’s signature.

Kovacic’s current contract with Chelsea will expire at the end of the season.

Chelsea, who are looking to raise funds this summer after their spending spree, could be forced to cash in on the Croatia international.

Man United will have to battle Manchester City, who are also said to be interested in the midfielder.
