Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard has named Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk as the toughest opponent he’s ever faced in the Premier League.
Since joining Arsenal permanently from Real Madrid, Ødegaard has become one of the league’s top midfielders and has come up against many challenging players.
In a quickfire Q&A with TNT Sports, when asked to name his toughest opponent, Ødegaard didn’t hesitate, saying, “I think Virgil is a really tough one.”
Ødegaard also revealed that his best friend in football is teammate Kai Havertz, while he described former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry as the club’s greatest player of all time.
