Jamie O’Hara has tipped Arsenal to ‘crumble’ under the pressure and lose out to Tottenham in the fight for the top four.
Arsenal face Newcastle on Monday night and will hope to return in front of Tottenham in the race for Champions League place likely to go down to the very last game of the Premier League season.
Spurs defeated Arsenal in a crunch derby clash last Thursday to keep the battle alive.
Antonio Conte’s side followed that up with a gritty 1-0 win over Burnley on Saturday to go above Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners still have it in their hands as they are two points behind their North London rivals but have two games left to play, while their neighbours have just one.
But former Tottenham midfielder, O’Hara believes Newcastle will beat Arsenal on Monday night to help Spurs qualify for the Champions League.
“Arsenal are going to crumble tonight,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.
“I’m very confident Newcastle will get a result tonight. It’s pressure time for Arsenal and it’s a tough game.
“We saw yesterday with Tottenham, that was a tough afternoon. The pressure was on and there were nervy moments.
“Arsenal have to win and it’s a big, big night. This is a tough game. Newcastle have been in great form with Eddie Howe and fair play to Arsenal, they’ve given themselves a chance.
“Their destiny is still in their hands, they win all their games then they’re in the top four, simple as that.
“They’ve had a great season. I was on the Sports Bar the other night and Arsenal fans were phoning up after the derby saying ‘Arteta out’ and I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
“He’s just put this team together and they are fighting for a top-four spot, which really and truthfully is incredible.
“I think they’ve had a good season. I still think the Spurs will get there.
“I just think the pressure is going to carry on and get to them.
“Right Newcastle, this is the one,” he bellowed.
“Show us that you are a big club, show us that you’re amongst the elite.
“Put Arsenal to the sword because they will bottle it. They’ll fold under pressure!”
