Manchester United striker, Marcus Rashford, has sent a message to Cristiano Ronaldo, wishing him all the best after his departure from the club.
Rashford also thanked Ronaldo for what he did for Man United during his time at Old Trafford.
The England international also said that the Portugal captain is one of his idols in football.
Recall that Ronaldo’s second spell with Manchester United came to an abrupt end a few days ago.
The 37-year-old mutually agreed to end his contract with the Premier League giants following his controversial interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan earlier this month.
Speaking about Ronaldo during an England press conference ahead of the Three Lions’ World Cup tie with Wales on Tuesday, Rashford said, “It has been an unbelievable experience to play with him. He’s one of my idols and someone I have always looked up to.
“It is something I can keep with me forever, I wish him all the best, and we want to thank him for the things he has done for Man United.”
