Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has admitted that the Red Devils are miles behind their Premier League rivals Manchester City after their 6-3 derby defeat on Sunday.
A hat-trick each from Erling Haaland and Phil Foden gave Man City all three points against Man United at the Etihad Stadium.
Anthony Martial did score a brace, while Antony also got on the score sheet for Man United during the encounter.
Revealing his disappointment in Man United throughout the first half of the game on Twitter, which ended 4-0 in favour of Man City, Ferdinand tweeted: “The gulf in class between @ManUtd & @ManCity is bigger than I thought before this game had kicked off….”
Ferdinand also claimed that Haaland is treating Premier League centre-backs with no respect.
“Absolutely dismantled… gulf between the 2 sides in Manchester! We showed some fight in the 2nd half or City took foot off the gas… BTW Haaland is treating these CB’s in the Premier League with no respect’,” Ferdinand added on Twitter while promoting his post-match live review.
