EPL Table: Arsenal go eight points clear of Man City as Newcastle overtake Man Utd

Arsenal are currently on top of the Premier League table with eight points ahead of Manchester City, who are in second position.

The Gunners moved eight points clear on top of the Premier League table after beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 on Sunday evening.

Mikel Arteta’s side have so far played 18 Premier League matches – won 15, drew two and lost one.

They have 47 points from 18 league matches.

Behind Arsenal are Manchester City, who have 39 points from 18 games after losing to Manchester United in Saturday’s derby at Old Trafford.

Newcastle United are in third position with 38 points from 19 games, while Manchester United are in fourth position with 38 points from 18 games.

Newcastle overtook Man United on goal difference after beating Fulham 1-0 on Sunday, though the Red Devils have a game in hand.

Behind Man United are Tottenham Hotspur (fifth) and Fulham (sixth).

Others are Brighton (seventh), Brentford (eighth), Liverpool (ninth) and Chelsea (tenth).
