EPL: Tuchel fumed at Chelsea co-owner Boehly over Fofana overseas medical

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was not happy with co-owner Todd Boehly regarding the pursuit of Wesley Fofana from Leicester City.

The Blues eventually signed the French center-back for a mega fee from the Foxes.

According to Sport Bild, the German coach’s fallout with club owner Boehly has now come to light.

Boehly wanted Fofana to go to the United States for his medical, which meant a delay in getting him signed up to train with Tuchel and his new teammates.

The German was furious at the “power move” from Boehly, and felt it was wholly unnecessary.

The two did not get along on other matters, which is why Tuchel was replaced by ex-Brighton boss Graham Potter.
