EPL: ‘You have to win’ – Guardiola warns Ten Hag ahead Man City, Man Utd clash

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has warned his Manchester United counterpart Erik ten Hag, that he has to win at a big club to remain in the job.

Guardiola was speaking at his Friday press conference ahead of this Sunday’s derby at the tihad.

Since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, the Red Devils have failed to mount any kind of challenge for the title.

In that time, City have been champions six times, including five titles in the last six years under Guardiola and matched United’s Treble triumph last season.

United go into this weekend’s clash 15 points behind City.

“You have to win in the big clubs,” Guardiola said.

“It’s not easy for United to come from an incredibly successful period with Sir Alex and cope with that.

“Sometimes I can understand it. Before, in England, with the managers they had more patience. Today, everyone has a lot of pressure.”
