Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has issued a warning to Jadon Sancho after the England forward returned to the team in their 2-2 draw with Leeds United on Wednesday.
The Dutchman also said he was delighted to see Sancho score one of his side’s goals but warned the winger he has to continue to work hard to continue getting chances in the first team.
The Red Devils came from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw against Leeds at Old Trafford, with Marcus Rashford and Sancho rescuing the day.
Sancho came off the bench to score the equaliser, his first goal for the club since September.
The former Ajax boss is happy with the 22-year-old, but warns that he must work hard or risk another setback.
Explaining why he brought on Sancho, Ten Hag said after the game, “I wanted a different dynamic. At that moment we weren’t in the game. Luckily it succeeded because we scored two goals.
“Very happy. He’s all the way back. We know he’s a magnificent player. I think consistently he can have a big impact. But he has to work hard.”
