Erik ten Hag is confident grabbing Mount from Chelsea

Erik ten Hag is confident he can convince Mason Mount to join Manchester United this summer rather than Arsenal or Liverpool.

Mount, who has one year left on his contract, is expected to leave Chelsea this summer.

Although there is plenty of interest in the England international, ten Hag believes he can secure a down the line deal for Mount, as reported The Telegraph.

Signing the 24-year-old would be a key part of United’s summer transfer activity, with Ten Hag also looking to bring in a striker.

Mount appeared to say goodbye to the club after the 1-1 draw with Newcastle on the final day of the Premier League season.

It was a frustrating season for Mount as Chelsea struggled and he also endured struggles with injuries.

Man United are reportedly launching a £55m bid for Mount but this is well below Chelsea’s valuation of £85million.
