Etebo Excited To Start New Week With Training

Stoke City of England midfielder, Oghenekaro Etbo has disclosed that he is happy to start the new week with training, as it meant he had finally overcome an injury that kept him out of action last weekend.

The 23-year-old Etebo, who had been out since March 2, had initially been tipped to return for last weekend’s English Championship fixture, but he failed a late fitness test.

That raised fears of a longer spell on the sidelines for the Super Eagles’ star, with the possibility of also missing national team action against Seychelles on March 22 and Egypt four days later, but he has now stepped up his recovery process.

Such it was that the former Warri Wolves, CD Feirense and Las Palmas battler, who bowed out when he copped a knock after scoring his first Championship goal in The Potters’ 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest, took to social media to rejoice over his impending return to action.

Etebo, who has made 25 league appearances for Stoke, but missed the fray on Saturday with Queens Park Rangers, posted a photograph of himself back in training on Monday.

He added: “New day, New week, Good to start the week strongly with a Good session Ek??”
