…As Stephen Keshi National U17 Tourney Names Him Organising Committee Chairman
Renowned scout and former footballer, Kelvin Etemike has been appointed as the Chairman organising committee of the newly reconstituted committee of Stephen Keshi National U17 football tournament.
The news of his appointment was communicated to him via a letter dated July 19, 2024 and signed by the Secretary Board of Trustees of the center, Comrade Austin Popo.
The letter read: “We bring you the unreserved compliments of the Board of Trustees of the Stephen Keshi Football and Vocational Training Center (SKFVTC) headed by its Chairman, Dr. Brown Ogbeifun.
Continuing the letter stated thus: “I wish to convey the decision of the SKFVTC board to appoint you as Chairman of the newly reconstituted Organising Committee of the Stephen Keshi National under 17 Football Tournament. You have been found suitable for the appointment based on your vast experience in the organisation of youth football development and tournament organisation and administration.

“You are expected in collaboration with other members of your committee to commence immediate plans and preparation for the execution of the 2024 edition of the tournament scheduled to hold in November 2024 in any state of the country, beginning with Edo and Delta states as priority host.
“Thank you for your acceptance to serve”, the letter ended.
Etemike, through his Tristone Sports Agency and OTP Finland, has been active ly involved in scouting, development of young talents from Nigeria for many years and have also added coaching clinics to the arrangement.
They recently toured the city of Abuja, Bayelsa, Port Harcourt and Lagos in search of budding talents.
