Villarreal coach Unai Emery says there’ll be no underestimating Europa Conference League opponents Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
Villarreal are in Israel for tonight’s tie.
Emery said, “Playing in Europe is always difficult and we saw that against Lech Poznan. Now that we are playing away from home that difficulty is increased and even more so with their fans, who push the team a lot. We’re expecting a game that is within the difficulty of playing away from home in European competition, but our idea is to win to get closer to our objective, which is to get through the group stage as group winners.
“Hapoel Be’er Sheva are a very dynamic team who are keen to make the most of their moments in Europe. We will try to look for consistency in our play and, beyond the result, try to play a good game to feel strong.
“We want to take the game to where we want it, to be able to create chances, to not let them run and, defensively, to stay together and be able to steal the ball as high up the pitch as possible. We want to respect our opponents and deactivate their qualities.”
