Europa: Eintracht Frankfurt were tough and difficult, says Barca boss Xavi

Barcelona coach Xavi has revealed he was pleased after their 1-1 draw at Europa League opponents Eintracht Frankfurt.

Ferran Torres struck as the quarterfinal first-leg finished 1-1 in Germany.

Xavi said, “It was a tough and difficult game.

They had good chances on transitions. We created fewer chances than normal and I am not happy with the performance, but I am happy with the result.

We suffered and I said we were not particularly lucky withdrawing this opponent. Eintracht Frankfurt are a really difficult opponent and we have to deal better with their transitions.

“Our goal was superb. We were starting to get to the danger zone via the wings, but it was the product of huge talent from my players.

“I thought we were a little more sluggish than usual early on here but Frankfurt are a good team, and we knew that.”
