Ex-Man Utd striker Cavani arrives Valencia, says ‘I’m glad to be here’

Former Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani has arrived Valencia to sign for Los Che.

Over a 100 fans welcomed him at a local airport, along with members of the press.

Cavani told AS: “I wanted to return to Spain, I wanted to be here, Valencia has opted for me. And it was one of the things I wanted most.

“They have given me a lot of love, the strength of the people at the club has made me come here, the club has given me a lot of confidence, I hope to give them everything.”

Cavani, 34, is set for a medical today and due to be confirmed by Valencia tomorrow.

He added, “I have spoken with (coach Rino) Gattuso yes, we talked for a while.”
