Chelsea legend, John Terry, has aimed a dig in the direction of Pep Guardiola for making many changes for Manchester City’s FA Cup semi-final clash against Liverpool at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
A brace from Sadio Mane and a strike from Ibrahima Konate ensured Liverpool eliminated Man City from the FA Cup.
Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva did score for the Premier League champions.
Liverpool will now face the winner between Chelsea and Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final on May 14.
However, with fitness and injuries in mind, Guardiola made a total of seven changes to the City team, which defeated Atletico Madrid on aggregate in the Champions League last-8 in midweek.
The City manager recalled Zack Steffen, Nathan Ake, Aleks Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Grealish, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.
But Terry thought Guardiola made a mistake by not playing his strongest team against Liverpool.
The former England defender wrote on Twitter: “That is why you don’t rest or rotate your best players. Play your best and strongest team!”
