Falconets head coach, Chris Danjuma has declared that his team is fully prepared for their opening match at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The West African squad is set to face the Korean Republic in their first game, taking place at the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo in Bogota on Monday morning.
Danjuma’s team has been in Bogota for the past two weeks, fine-tuning their strategies for the tournament.
The Falconets defeated Australia 3-1 in their first friendly and lost 1-0 to Mexico in their second test game.
The gaffer said it is important for his side to start the competition on a positive note.
“We are working on our tactics and techniques, to get it right when we play the Koreans. That is the first and foremost assignment. Once we get it right against the Koreans, we will then set out for the Germans,” he told thenff.com.
“I am very happy that we have no case of injury in camp. The girls are all ready to go out there and make Nigeria proud.”
