Falconets’ Coach Thanks NFF For Massive Support

Nigeria’s female youth national team, Falconets coach, Christopher Danjuma has declared that his side was able to win the women’s soccer gold medal at the Africa Games because they got a lot of support from Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

He admitted that winning gold at the Games was a good lift to the image of Nigerian football, but added that the biggest gain from the team’s outing in Rabat, Morocco was that he was able to discover new players for the future.

The Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia handler went on to declare that he was able to gain enough encouragement and support from the NFF because he keyed into their developmental ideals for all of the country’s youth teams, which he said was his priority in Morocco.

Even while gunning for glory at the Games, the final of which Nigeria had not reached since 2007, Danjuma enthused that he was happy to see his players rise to the occasion and win the country’s third ever women soccer gold medal.

Danjuma declared: “The federation has been very supportive. They gave me all the assistance and encouragement I needed, especially when they saw that what I was trying to do was in line with their youth development philosophy.

“We are happy that we won the gold medal, but the most important thing is that we wanted to groom our players. We are building them for the future. That’s another thing we achieved in Morocco with this team,.”
