Falconets show class, beat Morocco 2-0 in Africa Games

Date:

Nigeria’s Falconets left no one in doubt they have come for real business at the ongoing Africa Games in Ghana after they defeated Morocco 2-0 to claim maximum three points in their opener in the match that ended few minutes ago.

In what could pass for a day the Gods are on the side of the Falconets an early own goal by Morocco’s Fatima Bambara handed the Chris Danjuma tutored side their first goal and early bragging right.

Just before the close of the first half Falconet’s Yina Adoo increased the tally and the girls held tenaciously to the lead to the end of the match.

Every effort made by the Moroccan ladies to turn the table through increased tempo failed to rattle Falconets who guarded their goals and points jealously to the end as if they had vowed not to lose the opener like their male counterparts Flying Eagles did to Uganda.
