Fergie Took Me Under His Wing At 18 –Ronaldo

Date:

Former Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed gratitude to former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson for putting him in the right spot.

Ronaldo also expressed gratitude to Ferguson for taking him under his wing at 18 years old.

The Portugal captain joined Manchester United for the first time back in 2003 from Sporting CP.

The Al-Nassr forward began his journey to become one of the greatest players of this generation under Ferguson’s tutelage.

“So the boss [Ferguson], he was the leader, was the guy which every player followed him, his ideas, his strategy. For me, as I say many, many times, he is one of my fathers of football that when I arrived here in Manchester at 18, he put me in the right spot.

“He teaches me many things about where I am today. It is a little bit of part of him as well. So I appreciate what he did with me,” Ronaldo told LiveScore.
