FIFA hands Indonesia right to host 2023 U17 World Cup

World Soccer ruling body, FIFA has officially appointed Indonesia as the host for the 2023 U-17 World Cup.

This was announced directly by the President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino on his official website on Friday.

“The council has appointed Indonesia as the host for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup,” FIFA’s official statement read.

Peru who was earlier scheduled to host the competition was stripped after they failed to meet the standard requirement set by FIFA.

Indonesia initially was expected to host the U20 World Cup but was stripped of due to the political tension between them and Israel.

Senegal, Burkina Faso, Morocco and Mali are the four African countries that will fly their flags at the competition.
