A minimum of eight countries have secured spots in the knockout stage of the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
These teams are Nigeria, Germany, Spain, the USA, Brazil, France, Mexico, and Colombia.
Nigeria clinched their place with a 4-0 victory over Venezuela on Saturday, while Germany advanced despite a 1-0 loss to South Korea.

Recall that Nigeria’s Falconets booked a place in the second round of the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup following after beating Venezuela.

Both countries accumulated six points from their three matches, but Germany advanced due to a superior goal difference.
Meanwhile, the Netherlands will face North Korea later today, and Argentina will go up against Costa Rica.
