Nigeria’s U20 national team, Flying Eagles will on Friday slug it out with Argentina Primerica National B team, Almirante Brown.
The friendly match is put together for the team be in better shape ahead of the World Cup finals in Argentina.
Flying Eagles who arrived at the World Cup venue (Argentina) last Sunday and in order to fly Nigerian and African flag in the final of the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup, the team need to engage in some friendly matches to get the players ready for the hostilities during the competition.
Almirante Brown currently plays in the Primera B Nacional, the 2nd division of the Argentine football league system. The football stadium is located in the Isidro Casanova district of the same partido where the friendly match against Nigeria U20 boys will take place on Friday at 4:00pm.
Head coach Ladan Bosso and his assistants have started drilling the players since Monday evening shortly after their arrival from Nigeria.
The Nigeria team will also engage Colombia U20 national team next Tuesday at the Tristan Suarez Stadium in Buenos Aires at 4pm Argentine time (8pm Nigeria time).
The two times World Cup finalists are in group D of the FIFA U20 World Cup with Dominican Republic, Italy and Brazil. The 2015 African champions will entertain Dominican Republic in the group opener on 21st May, 2023 before trading tackles with Italy and Brazil.
