Flying Eagles Leave For U20 AFCON On Wednesday Via Air Maroc

Seven times African champions, Flying Eagles of Nigeria will leave Abuja for Ghana where they will connect to Egypt for the 2023 CAF U20 African Nations Cup.

Two times World Cup finalists, Flying Eagles defeated Zambia U20 Team 4-2 in an international friendly match at the Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja last Friday. The last warm-up match for the WAFU B champions.

Nigeria are in group A with Senegal, Mozambique and host, Egypt. Nigeria will start their campaign on 19th February with Senegal

The tournament will also double as the African qualifiers for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Indonesia. The top four teams will qualify for the World Cup.

Ghana were the defending champions, having won their 4th title in 2021, but will not defend the title after failing to qualify for the tournament.
