Friendly: Super Eagles to clash with Russia, Ghana in June

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are scheduled to play friendly matches against Russia and Ghana in June.

However, the exact dates for the fixtures are yet to be determined.

These matches will serve as vital preparation for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.

Eric Chelle’s side will host the Amavubi of Rwanda in Uyo in September, and then travel to South Africa for a matchday eight encounter in the same month.

The Super Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw by Zimbabwe on Tuesday.

The result put a dent on their chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
