Funke Akindele breaks record with ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ in Nigeria, West Africa

Funke Akindele, a popular Nollywood filmmaker, has broken another record in the film industry with her latest cinema release, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’.

She is maintaining this feat after breaking multiple records in the past with ‘Omo Ghetto the Saga’ and ‘Battle on the Buka Street’.

The Nation reported that Funke’s new release came out on December 15th, 2023.

The actress announced her success on Instagram with an appreciation post to God, the cast and crew of A Tribe Called Judah, and her Nigerians.

She expressed pride in her work claiming she made an ultimate cinematic triumph in 2023.

A Tribe Called Judah is the number-one film in Nigeria and West Africa, the biggest opening for Funke Akindele’s film, Nollywood’s biggest opening of all time, and many more.

She wrote: “Thank you, Lord!! Thank You, Nigeria. I am grateful for the record-breaking journey of ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ in Nigeria and West Africa. #1 movie.
