Godson Oghenebrume raced to a new 20.63 lifetime best to open his 2024 outdoor campaign at the Hurricane Invitational in Florida.
The 20 year had a somewhat quiet campaign indoors but has now come out to dispel his incredible run last year when he stopped the clock at 9.90 in the 100m event was not by happenstance.
A couple of Nigerian students athletes were also in action at the meet.

National Sports Festival double sprint champion, Tima Godbless ran 23.53 to place sixth in the overall classification while Ella Onojuvwevwo was seventh (23.68).
Victory Godah however proved to be the best of the half lap pack on the day, running a wind-assisted 23.42 to place fourth.
Meanwhile, Onojuvwevwo was in the LSU team that ran 3:39.30 to place second in the women’s 4x400m behind Empire Athletics (3:27.45).
