Government dissolves state-owned Osun United management

The management of Osun United, a team in Nigeria’s National League, has been dissolved.

The state government appointed the management last season with the goal of stabilizing the team and securing promotion to the top division, a target that was not achieved. Despite the efforts of Akin Maxwell and his team, they were unable to secure the necessary promotion.

The team finished in third position with 30 points from 20 matches and also failed to make the playoffs.

The dissolution of the management was announced on yesterday in Osun State capital, Osogbo but the main reason for their dissolution remained unknown.
