Gusau/Ahlan Cup: Tornadoes kick off title defense against Mailantarki

Champions of the 2023 Gusau/Ahlan Cup, Niger Tornadoes FC, will kick off their title defense against Mailantarki Care FC on Wednesday in Jos, as the competition gets underway.

The Tornadoes arrived in Jos, the Plateau State capital, yesterday to participate in this year’s prestigious tournament, just two days after finishing as runners-up at the Unity Pre-season Tournament in Abuja.

The Ikon Allah Boys are placed in Group A, alongside hosts Plateau United, Barau FC, and Mailantarki Care FC.

Notable NPFL clubs that registered for the competition includes; Lobi Stars, Kano Pillars, Nasarawa United and Kwara United.

The opening ceremony of the competition is slated for today between Plateau United and Barau FC.
