Nine players have arrived in Antalya, Turkey ahead of Super Falcons’ preparatory games against Haiti and New Zealand.
The friendly games are put together to help the Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum perfect his strategy ahead of the FIFA Women’s world Cup.
With the friendly matches played so far, the Super Falcons are expected to put up a better performance at the World Cup as the coach would have perfected his plans and strategies before they travel to Australia and New Zealand for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Ahead of the competition, the team has been involved in a series of friendly games. They are set for two more fixtures later this week, as they take on Haiti and New Zealand.
Coach Randy Waldrum invited 23 players for the games, including Barcelona Femeni striker, Asisat Oshoala and longtime absentee Desire Oparanozie.
The Super Falcons camp opened on Tuesday. And according to the update on Super Falcons twitter handle, nine players have arrived camp in Turkey. They are: Yewande Balogun, Regina Otu, Esther Okoronkwo, Onome Ebi, Etim Inyene, Abiodun Deborah, Halimatu Ayinde, Vivian Ikechukwu, and Glory Ogbonna, were the available players. Coach Waldrum has also arrived in Turkey while still expecting 14 players for the games.

Nigeria will open the World Cup campaign with Canada on 21st July before taking on Australia six days later. The last group game versus Republic of Ireland takes place on 31st July, 2023.
The World Cup kicks off on the 20th of July.
