Super Falcons ace Francisca Odega is full of gratitude as the year gradually draws to a close. The club CSKA Moscow star elected to count her blessings and took the social media to name them one by one.

The submission dished out on twitter did was garnished with impressive photographs of her celebration of success with teammates. She did not however fail to thank God for the achievements made ending it with rhetoric question “what have I done to deserve this God??”
Falcons are among teams that have qualified for the 2023 FIFA women World cup in Australia and New Zealand and all things being equal Odega who has been a regular for the national team will be hoping to deck the national jersey for another world cup project.
Odega it will be recalled joined the Russian side from Spanish Premiera Iberdrola side Levante. Odega had told the BBC during the move “I love to challenge myself every time so I enjoy taking on challenges to test myself,” she had told BBC Sport Africa.
“Women’s football is fast growing in the last five years and teams are beginning to compete on a big stage.
“Playing in big competitions like the World Cup with your country and the Champions League with your club will only bring out the best in you.”
It might look like home coming for Odega if she makes the team to the world cup in Australia having played for
Australian Westfield W-League when she joined Sydney FC on loan. It will mark her fourth appearance at the world cup after three previous ones in 2011, 2015 and 2019.
