Manchester United reportedly aiming to complete what will be a very satisfying transfer deadline day by capturing Victor Osimhen.

The Red Devils have had to bide their time to land their top targets this summer following Erik ten Hag’s appointment. He has made five signings so far, with Antony completing a huge £86m switch on Thursday morning. He joins Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen and Casemiro as new additions at Old Trafford.

And with Cristiano Ronaldo now staying at United, it has – ultimately – proven a pretty satisying window for Ten Hag.

However, their spending might not be done just yet, with reports in Italy indicating one final big deal may be on the cards.

That’s according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, who claims a deal to take Osimhen to United could yet go through.

The story is picked up by the Manchester Evening News, who claim the move could go through on an initial loan in order to beat the deadline.

United, though, will reportedly have to agree to a £86.4m (€100m) obligation to buy Osimhen next summer for the move to go ahead.

Napoli were reportedly hoping to take Ronaldo to the Diego Maradona Stadium on loan as part of the deal.

However, that appears unlikely now with the veteran Portuguese star staying put.

It remains to be seen if United can pull off a coup for Osimhen, however, especially given his agent cooled the claims just last week.

He has scored 30 goals in 66 appearances for Napoli and it seems unlikely they would sanction a loan exit.
