Former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, on Wednesday alleged that he could be arrested at any time by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government.
El-Rufai, now a leading figure in the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC), made the claim during an interview with BBC Hausa. He also accused the ruling APC of exerting pressure on politicians to defect to the party or remain within its ranks.

The former governor, who has recently stepped up criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and the APC — the platform under which he governed Kaduna State for eight years — said some of his associates had already been detained.
“Four people we worked with in Kaduna have been arrested; so it’s only a matter of time before they come for me too,” he said.
His comments come amid heightened political tensions and the ongoing arrest and trial of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
