I FEEL EXCITED WITH AWAY VICTORY AGAINST CAR– AWAZIEM

Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem has expressed joy over the team winning against Central Africa Republic in their fourth match in the World Cup qualifier played in Douala on Sunday.

Super Eagles lose to CAR in the first leg played at Teslim Balogun Stadium Lagos last Thursday while defeated CAR 2-0 in their return leg on their home soil.

In a Chat with SportsDay yesterday Awaziem said, “I am very excited with the final result of our match against CAR. beating them on their soil wasn’t a childs play for us but i am happy over the victory,

“Yes we lost to them in the first leg but in this return leg we were focused and determined to re- write our mistakes and got what is rightfully us.

“We played our game, no pressure on us, everyone was calm and at the end we picked the three important points.

speaking on the next game, Awaziem maintained that,”Nothing will stop us from picking the World Cup ticket. we are topping our group C with 9 points and i strongly believe and hopefully we will pick the remaining 6points in the two remaining matches. Awaziem said.

Awaziem made his main appearance in the 2018 Russia World Cup as unused player but played in the 2019 AFCON in Egypt where they ended up with a bronze medal.
