Manchester United attacker, Jadon Sancho, has revealed the impact of Cristiano Ronaldo in his career since his arrival at the club.
Although United endured a poor season as a team overall, Ronaldo shone once again, netting an impressive 24 goals in 39 appearances.
“I was buzzing,” Sancho told club media. “I look at him as a role model and he’s a great player. You look at what he’s done in the game and it’s outstanding. For a young player looking up to him, it’s a dream come true.”
Ronaldo’s impact at United could even inspire Sancho to create his own trademark celebration, with the English forward considering his own iconic way of commemorating a goal.
When asked why he doesn’t have a trademark celebration, Sancho added: “I should! I’ve been looking at my celebrations recently and it’s kind of boring. It’s not like Ronaldo’s where everyone goes ‘Siiuu!’ or something like that. I’ll think of one soon, for sure.”
