I Want To Win the Turkish Lig Title With Adana Demirspor- Onyekuru

After helping Adana Demirspor to a 1-1 draw against Galatasaray during a friendly game, Super Eagles ace Henry Onyekuru says it will be a dream for him for he wins the Turkish Super Lig title at the end of the season.

With the season on break owing to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the Nigerian star boy told Piranaspor after the tough encounter: “Belhanda said something like, “I’ll cut your head off if you don’t come to Adana.”

“We are fighting at the top of the league and we want to continue with that. Working with a great coach like Montella is a big plus. He gives me a lot of advice.”

Asked if he would like to wear the Galatasaray shirt again.

“Jorge Jesus is a very successful and valuable person. He was in Sporting Lisbon when I was at Anderlecht and he tried to get me into his team.”

“I played for Galatasaray before. I don’t know if I will play for Fenerbahçe or Beşiktaş from now on. It’s a personal decision.”

On his goal celebrations: “There are moments like this in games sometimes. I had the same reaction because they hurt me. Because I knew the four-star thing would piss them off.”
