Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno has rewarded the Ibom Angels, following their successful return to the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership. The team, which secured promotion through the NWFL Championship playoff in Calabar, received N20 million and a new coaster bus from the Governor.

The Ibom Angels excelled in the playoffs, winning Group A2 with three victories and defeating Osun Babes 2-0 in the final, thanks to goals from Abasiofon Uwah and Victory Onuma. This victory marks their swift return to the top tier after just one season in the NWFL Championship.
