Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (September 3, 1971 – July 27, 2024) was a prominent Nigerian politician, entrepreneur, and businessman who held the position of Senator for the Anambra South Senatorial District until his passing on July 27, 2024, in London.

1. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah passed away at the age of 52 on July 27, 2024. He would have celebrated his 53rd birthday on September 3.

2. Born the first of seven children to Mr. and Mrs. Alphonsus Ubah in Otolo, Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria, Ubah faced early challenges due to his family’s financial constraints. He left Premiere Academy, Lugbe, Abuja, to pursue trade, later enhancing his education with various local and international business courses.

3. Ubah initially made his mark as an exporter of motor tyres and spare parts across West Africa, including Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and DR Congo. He subsequently expanded his business to Europe, establishing a presence in Belgium and the United Kingdom.

4. As the founder and CEO of Capital Oil, established in 2001, Ubah oversaw one of the largest petroleum storage and distribution facilities in Lagos. His company had a significant presence in Southeast and Southwest Nigeria.

5. Ubah founded The Authority Newspaper, a daily Nigerian publication, which began operations on October 15, 2015.
