Iheanacho travelled from England to Spain yesterday to sign the contract which will have him in the books of the top side till the summer of 2026.

They however topped the league to gain automatic promotion but Iheanacho had a torrid season with the club following his refusal to shelve representing Nigeria at the last Africa cup of nations tournament held in Cote d’Ivoire as demanded by the club.
At his return from the bi-annual competition, Enzo Maresca now new head coach at Chelsea, had Iheanacho frozen from the squad. Communication between Iheanacho and the young 44 year-old Italian broke down completely with the left -footed forward handed few cameo chances between January when he returned from AFCON and the end of the season.
This irked Iheanacho who decided to move on from the club. English side Crystal Palace amongst other top sides like Trabzonspor in Turkey were said to be on his trail before he landed the Sevilla deal.
