Kelechi Iheanacho will be seeking to extend his goal record against Crystal Palace when he files out with his club, Leicester City who host Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace at the King Power stadium Saturday afternoon.
The Nigerian, 26, will also be hoping to start his second game in eight appearances for the Foxes this season and score his second goal.
Iheanacho will be banking on his goal record against the Eagles to get back to scoring ways again after netting his first goal of the campaign well over a month ago in the 5-2 loss to Brighton at the Amex stadium.
If he scores once, it will take his tally in the Premier League against Palace to five, the most he has scored in the competition against any club. It will also be his sixth across all competitions, equalling the tally he has netted against Aston Villa.
Iheanacho will also be making his 180th appearance for the Foxes across all competitions with 176 of them coming in the Premier League.
Overall, the Nigerian has scored 48 times in 179 appearances for Leicester City since he joined from fellow Premier League side, Manchester City in August 2017.
In the Premier League, he has also scored 38 times since he made his debut in the competition in August 2015 and has made 175 appearances, winning 61 of the games.
Voted Premier League player of the month in March 2021, Iheanacho has also bagged 21 assists.
