Super Eagles and Leicester of England striker, Kelechi Iheanacho may have made up his mind about leaving the team after the player recently rejected an improved fresh contract from the club.
The relationship between Iheanacho and Leicester has been topsy turvy since after his return from the Africa Cup of Nations which the Foxes are not happy he attended despite their warning.
The former Manchester City forward has through this singular action sparked more the speculation that he’s on his way to Crystal Palace or Trabzonspor in Turkey, but many reports have it that the player prefers to remain in England, which makes Palace the most likely destination.
The 27 year old has played 23 matches for Leicester this season with 5 goals and 1 assist as Leicester makes an immediate return to the Premier league from the Championship just a season after being relegated to the English lower league.
Iheanacho scored the last penalty that qualified Nigeria to the final in the last AFCON in Cote d’ivoire during the shoot out with South Africa
in the semi final, before the team was beaten 2-1 by hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final to finish as runners up in the competition.
The left-footed forward was frozen out of the Leicester squad at his return from the AFCON, with just a few cameo opportunities which certainly must not have gone down well with the player and the reason is trying to force his way out of the club.
He joined Leicester in 2017 from Manchester City and has made 173 appearances for the Foxes with 35 goals to his credit.
