It was mixed feelings for the Nigeria teams campaigning in the ongoing International Handball Federation continental challenge in Congo Brazzaville.
The U18 team under coach Emeka Nnamani was first to take to the court on Monday afternoon and it ended in victory for them as they comfortably defeated Burundi 45-30.
But it was not a good outing for the U20 team under coach Fidelis Obi who suffered a narrow defeat of 26-28 to Guinea despite their impressive performance.
Both teams will be back on the court on Tuesday afternoon for their second match.
The U18 team will face Congo while the U20 team will confront Madagascar.
