Ijamilusi Debuts For Chinese Women Super League Side

Folashade Ijamilusi will tomorrow play her first official game for her Chinese Women Super League club, Liaoning Baiye FC.

The former Edo Queens of Benin player, who joined the side in a recent two year – deal will face last season’s winners, Wuhan Ladies in what promises to be a fascinating debut.

According to the Super Falcons star, her expectation is to do well and possibly score to ensure her team wins the game or at least finish with a draw.

“My expectations in tomorrow’s game is to perform well and since we are playing against last season’s champions I will try to give 100 percent effort to ensure I score so that we can claim the three maximum points or at least a point.

“It’s surely going to be a difficult game but I’m ready for the challenge.

“I’m kind of super excited about the prospect of coming up against the defending champions so mich so that I can’t wait for the game to cone”, Ijamilusi saiid confidently.

Ijamilusi who helped Edo Queens win the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) also ended the 2023/24 NWFL Premiership season as the league top goal scorer by netting eight goals.

She also propelled the Edo Arsenal ladies to the West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) Women’s Champions League title in Cote D’Ivoire in 2024.

The former Springsoca United Academy protege also featured for Lagos based NWFL side, FC Robo where she had some great seasons before she teamed up with Edo Queens.
