FC Robo Queens of Lagos inform striker and captain, Folashade Ijamilusi was in devastating form as she propelled her side to reach the Presidential cup quarter final after posting a superlative performance in the round of 16 match played yesterday.
The game which was at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, in Asaba, Delta state, saw FC Robo beat Heartland Queens of Owerri 2-0.
A well taken second goal for FC Robo by Ijamilusi put the game to bed and beyond the reach of Heartland Queens who were pushing to draw level in the encounter.
Favour Nkwocha wearing jersey number 11 for FC Robo had put them in front before Ijamilusi made it two to put the icing on the cake.
“It was a very difficult game but we thank God for the victory.
“We hope we can go all the way in the competition to use it to compensate our ever loyal fans and management for missing out on the Super 6.
“We are very determined and focused and we hope we can achieve our target.
While talking about her goals scoring form Ijamilusi said she will keep working hard to continue to bang in the goals.
“I just thank God for my goals scoring form which has been a collective effort.
“I thank my teammates for the passes without which the goals will not come.
“I promise to keep working hard in my game to keep banging in the goals”, she said.
Ijamilusi scored 8 goals in NWFL this season to lead the scorers chart and was recently voted the Best Attacker of the Season to underscore her quality.
FC Robo Queens will now confront Naija Ratels of Abuja in the quarter final of the Presidential cup for a place in the semis.
