Former Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia is set to return fully to football after serving out the five -year ban slammed on him by world football governing body, FIFA which expires this month.
Big plans are already in the offing to throw a welcome back party to mark the return of the ex- international by the All stars, Siaone academy amongst others.
“I have missed football so much, Siasia told us from Abuja.
“I just can’t wait to get back and I’m open to any coaching job both home and abroad as long as they can match my demand.
Siasia remains one of the best coaches in Nigeria which the Holland 2005 U20 world cup silver winning coach revealed exclusively that he’s excited about his return.
“I’m very excited and happy about my return.
“My plan is to get back into full time coaching immediately.
“I still want to make more impact in the game which is why I’m not being selective but just want to get back fast.
“I wish to thank everyone for their support, prayers during these difficult years of my career as a coach.
The ex- Nantes of France striker has been linked to several jobs on his return, including Mighty Jets of Jos, but he chose to keep them to his chest until he joins any side which he promises to make public immediately that happens.
“I don’t want to talk about clubs that are interested in having me once my ban elapses until I’m through.
“But hopefully things will pan out smoothly”, he said.
As a player Siasia was among the Super Eagles class of ’94 that qualified Nigeria for it’s first world cup in 1994, won Tunisia ’94 AFCON amongst other laurels. While as a coach, he won Silver medal at Holland 2005 U20 world cup, Silver at Beijing 2008 Men’s Olympic football event and a bronze in the same event at Rio 2016 Olympics.
