Imo FA boss Uchegbulam to declare for NFF Presidency

After months of speculations, the Imo State FA Chairman, Mazi Amanze Uchegbulam will formally join the 2022 Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) presidential race today, our correspondent can confirm.

Uchegbulam who purchased his nomination form for the exalted position on Monday in Abuja in a chat said a world press conference will herald his quest to run driven by passion to get Nigerian football working again.

Former NFF General Secretary Musa Amadu, CAF Security expert Dr. Christian Emeruwa, incumbent NFF First VP Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi and few others are among those that have bought NFF Presidential ticket with the intension to replace the outgoing NFF President, Amaju Pinnick.

Uchegbulam who was a former First Vice President of the NFF under Ismaila Lulu has served in the Confederation of Africa Football various committees including the Appeals Committee where he rose to the position of the Vice President under former CAF Boss, Issa Hayatou.

The sale of the expression of interest and nomination forms will commenced on Monday and the Presidential form is pegged at Five hundred thousand naira (N500,000).
