Inspire Football Academy which presented two teams at the ongoing Lagos Masters Tournament were truly inspiring with their eye -catching displays so also were BG Sport and Superstar United at the Day One of the much – talked about scouting tournament.
The competition which is held at the popular Nitel stadium at Oshodi, had five games played on Saturday under the watchful eyes of top scouts from different countries and clubs in Europe.

Host team, BG Sport and G-Innovation opened the hostilities in a keenly contested encounter which ended 0-0. Team 360 and Inspire U19 battled each other in the second match with Inspire running away with a 1-0 victory which was scored from 12 yards after the centre referee awarded them a penalty for an adjudge hand ball.
In the third match of the day, D Shark were lucky to escape being beaten black and blue by a wasteful Inspire B youthful side which fluffed away a penalty amongst other begging opportunities as the match ended 0-0. Broadcity however defeated Stanique 1-0 in the fourth game while Superstar United were 2-0 better than R2Finesse to call it a wrap for the Day one.
More matches will continue tomorrow in Day Two of the tournament as the quest for the new Osimhen’s, Okocha’s, Kanu’s heightens.
